Guest Post: Look Good, Feel Good

Good morning!!  Please welcome Brookelyn from Best of Bklyn, a fashion blog that has become one of my top favorites.  As Brookelyn mentions below, she and I know each other from college, and I’ve had the wonderful pleasure of being able to find and read her blog since then.  Although “fashion” is not one of the main topics I consistently cover on my blog, I thought it’d be fun to switch it up a bit and hear about some fashion sense that fits Brookelyn’s motto: “Look Good, Feel Good”.  <– TOTALLY agree!  Enjoy the read!  I’ll see you all tomorrow morning for a regular post from me!  Until then, have a wonderful Sunday my friends!

Hi, I’m Brookelyn from Best of Bklyn, and I’m subbing in for Ashley while she’s taking a little blogging break! I met Ashley in college, and when she asked me to do a guest post, I was so excited! I’m not a healthy living blogger- I usually stick to personal style, home decor, and beauty tips and tricks over on my blog, but I do recognize the power of great workout gear, so I thought I’d share with you all a few of my favorite workout gear pieces to keep you stylish and looking great while you’re working out. I’m a big believer of the principle that if you look good, you feel good, and I think that’s especially important while you’re sweating it out at the gym. Since the holiday season is here, thought I’d note that all of these items would be great for gift-giving, too- encouraging your loved ones to have a more active lifestyle is possibly one of the best gifts you can give!

1. I’m loving these black and gray Nike Frees– I’ve heard nothing but good about these cross trainers, and I think the next time I need new workout shoes, these will be it. ($75)
2. This Lululemon duffle may be a bit of a splurge, but it does have separate compartments for wet clothes, your laptop, keys, phone, and everything else you need, plus space for a yoga mat. If you’re the type that works out right before or after work and changes at the gym, this may be a worthy investment for you. ($128)
3. I had always worn Nike Tempo shorts to the gym until I bought these Gap Gfast capris. I still wear my shorts, but these pants have definitely won “fave workout bottoms” in my wardrobe as of late. They’re super flattering, and comfortable to boot. Please don’t forget this tidbit if you are a leggings fan-leggings are not pants outside of the gym- wear something that covers your rear, please! ($49)
4. No one likes sweaty bangs in their face during a workout, and this Athleta headband is cute and functional, too! ($12)
5. This Athleta jacket would be the perfect thing to throw on post-workout with your leggings, since it covers your rear. The fleece will keep your warm, and the shape will be super flattering and show off the efforts of your time at the gym! ($79)
