WIAW {What I Ate Wednesday} #18: A Day In The Life…

by Ashley on January 25, 2012

I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday… This week is a-flyin’ by!  You know what Wednesday means – another WIAW post coming your way!  Head on over to Peas and Crayons for more info on the fun!

Today I thought I’d do something a little different than I normally do… I’m going to simply walk you through my day, including my eats of course.  This specific day I’m walking you through will be Tuesday (as in yesterday).  Tuesday is my day off, so it usually consists of cleaning, laundry, and catching up on my favorite TV shows.  Pretty exciting, right? Winking smile  I thought so.  Regardless, let’s get to it!

6:00 am – wake up, brush teeth, change my clothes, make myself look somewhat presentable

6:15 am – start coffee maker, make my oatmeal

6:30 am – eat breakfast – “custard oats” (oats with a whisked egg mixed in) made with 1/2 mashed banana, 1/2 T. flax seeds, topped with 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter

10:00 pm – go to bed… ahhhh yes.

So there you have it, a typical Tuesday in the life of Ashley.  Pretty exciting, right?  I actually really enjoy Tuesdays… It’s nice to have a chance to catch up on housework, laundry, and also relax a bit after a typically busy Monday and before conquering the rest of the week.  With that, I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

I catch up on house stuff too! During the week I just don’t have time for it so the weekends is when I do all of my cleaning and laundry.

I usually cook, clean, exercise, read articles, play with my puppy, and spend time with my hubby!! :-) I also like to read blogs, catch up on my DVR, and take a bubble bath or nap if time allows!

My days off (weekends) are filled with lots of catching up from the week – cleaning, organizing, laundry – but I also enjoy spending some quality time with my boyfriend. With a busy week of work, we both don’t get the quality time that we’d like.

Thanks for sharing your day! It is fun to see how other people’s busy lives pan-out! You seem to keep very busy. I need to spend a day cleaning my house because it is dusty! And, I love the Colbie Callait pandora station. I listen to it all the time at work!

I love that you whisk an egg into your oats. Do you bake it / heat it after you add the egg?

mmm it’s SO good! it gives it a “custard” consistency and adds extra staying power too. if you go to the link attached to “custard oats”, you’ll see a “how to” on custard oats from get healthy with heather’s blog.

I love that you give your dogs a kiss and tell them you love them when you get home – I always have to do the same! I always feel like I have to reassure Meeko that I didn’t WANT to leave her, even though she never seems too worried about it :-)
