A to Z

by Ashley on March 11, 2012

I saw this fun little survey on Janetha’s blog the other day, and of course I wanted to play along!

A is for age: 24!

B is for breakfast today: Since I’m in a hotel room and don’t want to order a $15 breakfast, I had a Clif bar and an apple.  When I’m at home, it’s usually some version of oatmeal with nut butter.

C is for currently craving: Peanut butter.  Duh.  It’s pretty much a constant craving. Winking smile

D is for dinner tonight: I’m not for sure yet, but I do know Cody and I decided to go on a date tonight before we leave to go back home tomorrow.  If I have any say, it will most likely involve Mexican food and margaritas.  Smile

E is for favorite type of exercise:  Circuit training.  Running is getting up there on my list though…

F is for an irrational fear: Someone close to me dying.  I know that sounds terrible, but I’ve never really had someone close to me pass away.  Needless to say, I don’t really know how I’ll deal with it.

G is for gross food: Mayonnaise.  Ick.

H is for hometown: Peoria, Arizona (mom’s) and Scottsdale, Arizona (dad’s).  I bounced back and forth growing up.

I is for something important: Quality time with those I love.

J is for current favorite jam: Current and always… my grandma’s homemade strawberry jam.  Best EVER!

IMG_1529-700x466

K is for kids: No human ones yet!  Just our two adorable pups – Molly & Ryan!

L is for current location: On our bed, in our hotel room, in San Antonio.

M is for the most recent way you spent money: On our dinner last night.

N is for something you need: I NEED for my hip to not be sore!  It started acting up a bit during my run on Friday.  If it’s not one thing, it’s another… Grr!

O is for occupation: Children’s Ministry Director at my church.  I also do some personal training on the side.

P is for pet peeve: Arrogance!

Q is for a quote:

“I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.”
-Audrey Hepburn

aka I LOVE to laugh!  It’s one of the many reasons I married my husband.  He makes me laugh every single day.  If you make me laugh, we’ll most likely quickly become friends Winking smile

R is for random fact about you: I’m cheap.  I hate spending money.  I get anxious when we have to dish out a lot of money at once for something.  Thank goodness for my logical husband who helps me put everything in perspective.

S is for favorite healthy snack: Peanut butter + banana

IMG_0060

T is for favorite treat: This really alternates between a few different treats depending on the day.  Today I’ll say my favorite treat is frozen yogurt topped with chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Oreo crumbles, and Butterfinger crumbs.  I also love homemade chocolate chip cookies and ooey gooey brownies.

U is for something that makes you unique: I almost didn’t survive when I was born.  I was really late, my lungs collapsed, and I was in the ICU for a few days before my mom could even hold me.  Now I have two little “star” scars on my chest from the tubes they had in me.

V is for favorite vegetable: I can’t just pick one.  I love my veggies!  My top favorites are spinach, broccoli, and brussels sprouts.

W is for today’s workout: Not quite sure yet, but it’s a cardio day, so something to get me sweatin’ and my heart pumpin’.

X is for X-rays you’ve had:  I had x-rays on my knee when I tore my ACL and meniscus my junior year of high school.

Y is for yesterday’s highlight: A double date with our great friends, Adam and Karen!  Don’t they have the cutest kids ever?!

Z is for your time zone: Currently we’re Central, but at home we’re Mountain Standard.

P.S.  It’s the last day to enter the CLICK goodies giveaway!  Winner announced tomorrow morning.

  • Your turn!  Tell me your answers to a few of your favorite letters of the alphabet.

Fun survey! And I’m the same way about money … which is why we’re stressing so much about a current situation that’s going on (related to our house in Ohio). No fun!!!

Aw love this! I loathe mayo, people think I’m weird but it just creeps me out haha. I’m always craving nut butter too, it’s not normal ;) That’s crazy that you almost didn’t survive as a baby!

I have the same irrational fear as well. I work at a hospital and see so many people my parents age being diagnosed with cancer or having other health problems. I get so scared it could be them one day….

Favorite treat: Ice cream, preferably cookies n’ cream.

Exercise today: Beautiful 5 mile recovery run.

Fun survey! I think I may follow your lead and do this one! Peanut butter is a constant craving for me too…There can *never* be too much of it! For as long as I can remember, I’ve been “stealing” spoonfulls of PB from the jar. When I was three, I even woke up extra early one morning, made my way to the kitchen and made a mess with the peanut butter. My parents were not happy, but it earned me the nickname “peanut butter princess,” which I’ll take. ;-)

I LOVE the photo of you and your husband laughing! You two are so cute!

Happy Monday! xoxo
