Week 23: Pregnancy Survey

23weeks

I am ridiculous. Surveys two days in a row?! Are you sick of me yet? I didn’t really plan it that way, but thanks to a long day (I’m writing this Monday evening) my brain is in a fog and I have little to no energy to think about what I want to write. Survey to the rescue! I found the below pregnancy survey on a whim when I searched Google for “pregnancy survey” and thought it might be kind of fun for you guys to read. Here we go!

About My Pregnancy

Is this your first pregnancy? Yes!

When did you find out you were pregnant? August 6th

Was it planned? Yes, but we weren’t expecting it to happen so quickly!

What was your first reaction? I fell to the floor crying in happiness!

Who was with you when you found out? Just me! And then I proceeded to go jump on Cody (who was in bed) to tell him the news.

Who was the first person you told? Cody

How did your parents react? My dad didn’t believe me at first, and then when he realized I wasn’t joking, he got super excited. My mom screamed and started laughing.

How far along are you? 23 weeks

What was your first symptom? A little nausea, feeling super tired, and a little crampy

What is your due date? April 9, 2013

Do you know the sex of the baby? Yes! A BOY!

Have you picked out names? Yes! Hunter Robert. Smile

How much weight have you gained? About 14 pounds.

Do you have stretch marks? Nope

Have you felt the baby move? Oh yes! It’s so fun!

Have you heard the heartbeat? Yes, a couple different times! It’s the best sound ever.

About the Baby

Will you keep the baby? This is a given… Absolutely!

Home or hospital birth? Hospital

Natural or medicated birth? I’ll most likely get an epidural, but we’ll see how it goes. I plan to write a post about this in the next few weeks.

Who will be in the delivery room with you? Just Cody until Hunter arrives

Will you breastfeed? I will do everything I can to make it happen!

Do you think you’ll need a c-section? I hope not

Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time? Oh yes, I’m sure of it

What’s the first thing you might say to him? How much I LOVE him!

Would you let someone videotape the birth? Ehh probably not

Are you excited or scared about the birth? I’m ecstatic to meet Hunter, but I have to admit, I’m pretty scared about the getting the baby out part.

I think that’s enough Q & A for the day, so I’m not going to do my usual questions this week since most of them are covered in this little survey anyways.

Overall this past week wasn’t too bad and I’m feeling pretty awesome. I had a couple days that I felt a little nauseous off and on for whatever reason, but thankfully it’s not an all-the-time thing. I slept a lot better this past week compared to the week before which I am beyond grateful for. I did experience swelling in my hands and feet for the first time yesterday after doing an interval workout on the treadmill. I’ll tell you what, it’s no fun. I hope I don’t get any worse swelling as my pregnancy progresses, but I guess we’ll see. I also noticed this week that I’m getting a little bit of a darker line down from my belly button (linea nigra to be exact). I was hoping I wouldn’t get that awesome little line, but hey, what can ya do? Other than that, things are great and baby Hunter is happy as a clam!

I’ll be back tomorrow… without a survey! Winking smile

Getting the epidural was the best decision ever! I now plan on getting it with the others! My doctor said get to 4 cm dialated then get the epidural and it wont slow the process down, and that is just what I did and an hour after I got it she was born :)

Love the hair … so cute. :) And I got that dark line this week, too! Man, we really are pregnancy twins! ;) And I’ve been meaning to tell you that for the past week or so, I notice that I get a little nauseous around 8:30ish in the morning. I’ve already eaten my breakfast, and I’m about to eat my morning snacks, and I feel a little queasy. It hasn’t been a big deal, but it’s interesting!

Also, when I was on the treadmill yesterday, I started feeling a lot of tightening in the belly area. My SIL says it’s normal and I’ll feel it more as the pregnancy progresses, but it freaked me out!

Okay so I just realized your due date is one day off from my birthday!!! As much as I hope you don’t go longer, I am now pulling for an April 10th birthday for this little guy. :)

Ha no no, I’m probably just a little ahead of the game? Plus, everyone is at such different stages throughout their twenties! You just gotta do what’s best for YOU!
