A Break Day

Today I’m taking a break from the blog.

Yesterday was a rough day. No huge terrible thing happened – it was just one of those days that every little thing started to pile up on each other and before I knew it, I felt like I was at the end of my rope.

Hunter wouldn’t nap, then he was fussy because he wouldn’t nap, I couldn’t find the darn batteries at the store for the darn swing, the man that went to go look for the batteries took forever to find them as Hunter was crying because he was hungry, the line at the grocery store was ridiculously long, Cody discovered his Father’s Day gift by accident, and yeah…get where I’m going with this? It was just one of those days.

So I’m taking this day to just breathe, catch up, and not put anything extra on my plate.

Thanks for understanding!

I’ll be back tomorrow refreshed and rested. I hope.

One of my all time favorite children’s book is “alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.” An excerpt to hopefully make you smile :)

There were lima beans for dinner and I HATE lima beans. There was kissing on TV and I HATE kissing. My bath was too hot, I got soap in my eyes, my marble went down the drain, and I had to wear my railroad train pajamas. I HATE my railroad train pajamas. When I went to bed Nick took back the pillow he said I could keep and the Mickey Mouse night light burnt out and I bit my tongue. The cat wants to sleep with Anthony and not with me. It has been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. My mom says some days are like that. Even in Australia. :)

Today is a bright new day!

What is it about Monday’s?? Addison and I had a really rough day too yesterday but I’m pretty sure it was because of the six week growth spurt. Needless to say, I feel you mama today is going to be used for rest and recovery!

How about getting rechargeable batteries? Might help out during those stressful moments and being at your wit’s end (:
