How was the weekend? Ours was one of the most relaxing we’ve had in quite awhile. We had absolutely ZERO plans, and while I initially thought it may be kinda uneventful and boring, it ended up being glorious.
I went out on a little date with my two handsome boys (I’m a lucky girl) on Friday evening.
Loving my new Fabletics Fenway Vest!
We scored a Café Rio coupon so we hit it up for burritos (Cody), salads (me), and quesadillas (Hunter). From there we did a little shopping to look for some new dress shirts for Cody. Unfortunately we came out empty handed. Better luck next time!
I bought a Groupon to a children’s museum (it’s called I.D.E.A. Museum for you locals) awhile back that we needed to use before it expired, so we figured Saturday would be the perfect day to go since we had nothing else planned.
Hunter was in heaven the entire time. There was an area geared for his age group, and it was like a big play gym with endless amounts of learning toys and gadgets. Cody and I enjoyed watching him explore, play, and learn, and we joined in the fun at times too!
It’s definitely a place I’d love to possibly get a membership for during the summer months when it’s too hot to go outdoors.
The rest of the weekend was pretty much just spent reading, sleeping, playing, going on walks, and baking. I spent some time on Sunday planning for the week ahead too. I’m excited to try out some new recipes I found on Pinterest for dinners this week.
Here’s what I have planned if you’re interested:
- Crock Pot Mongolian Beef with rice & broccoli
- Chicken Avocado Burritos
- One Pot Turkey Chili Mac
- Chicken Marsala, mashed potatoes, & green beans
I saw this little question/answer survey on The Fitnessista a couple weeks ago and thought it’d be fun to play along!
…Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
Yep, I’m still on my Emily Giffin kick. I plan on reading the sequel to this book next, Something Blue, and then I want to read Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. I keep hearing really good things about the book (and her as an author), so I’m looking forward to checking ‘em out!
…black Fabletics Salar Leggings with a henley long sleeve tee and thick comfy socks. It’s a total lounge day around here (it’s Sunday as I write this)!
…we just finished The Following seasons on Netflix, so we’re in need of a new Netflix show. Any ideas?
…to RPM 65 tracks – over and over again since I’m working on memorizing them. It should be fun to start adding some more variety into my RPM class.
…Brown Butter Snickerdoodle Blondies for dessert.
Oh my, these bad boys are insanely yummy.
I’ll leave ya with that, my friends! Monday’s agenda –> doctor’s appointment, grocery store, learning more RPM choreography, and teaching BodyPump.
Have a great Monday!
What are you…
