Hope your week has been going well so far! I truly have no complaints. In fact, it’s been a pretty awesome week so far. Both Monday and Tuesday have been fairly productive, and I had a totally rockin’ BodyPump class on Monday evening! The room was literally busting at the seams and we even ran out of equipment! I haven’t had that happen at my 4:30 PM Monday class yet, so I was pretty pumped (<—corny pun totally intended ).
A few months back, I planned on going through a “Day in the Life” series that documented each of my weekdays since they all vary a bit. Well, I totally spaced it until I was coming up with post ideas for this week and realized I never got past documenting what a Monday looks like for us back in November. So, here we are, a little late than never, continuing with that series throughout the next several weeks.
Today I’m documenting yesterday (Tuesday). Our Tuesdays are generally pretty similar week to week. We have MOPS every other Tuesday morning, and if we don’t have MOPS, I usually end up planning a play date with a friend or something along those lines. The afternoon (just like every other day) is reserved for nap time for Hunter and work for me. We usually have small group on Tuesday evenings, but yesterday we didn’t because of sick kiddos in our group. Tuesday nights are usually a lot crazier and a little stressful since we’re trying to simultaneously eat dinner and get out the door on time, so it was kinda nice to have more of a relaxed evening.
So, here we go!
6:15 – Alarm goes off.
6:45 AM – Actually get my butt out of bed. This is not usually how I roll, but I did NOT want to get out of bed yesterday for the life of me.
7:00 AM – Make and eat breakfast while doing my devotions.
7:15 AM – Make coffee and drink it while checking on blog stuff – post to social media channels, respond to a few comments, read a few of my favorite blogs.
8:00 AM – Head upstairs to get dressed and ready for the day.
8:30 AM – I hear Hunter talking so I go grab him and we go downstairs.
8:35 AM – I make him breakfast, and he eats while I chat with him.
8:55 AM – He plays for a bit while I clean up the kitchen from breakfast.
9:05 AM – We head upstairs to get him changed and dressed.
9:15 AM – I put his cloth diapers in the washing machine, start the dishwasher, chow down a Greek yogurt, and get our stuff together before we head out the door.
9:30 AM – We leave for a play date at a friend’s house. The kids play; the moms talk.
11:45 AM – We leave our friends’ house. I stop by Kinko’s on the way home to get something printed real quick.
12:15 PM – We come home, and I notice a package outside the front door. It’s from Peanut Butter & Co.! Day is made for both Hunter and me – I love the peanut butter, he loves playing with the box. Perfect.
12:30 PM – I make him lunch. While he eats, I make my own lunch and eat with him.
12:50 PM – I clean up from lunch while Hunter continues to happily play with the box.
1:00 PM – We head upstairs, I change his diaper, and put him down for his nap.
1:10 PM – I empty the dishwasher while listening to and practicing RPM 65.
1:30 PM – I sit down at my desk and focus on a few of the tracks that are more challenging for me to memorize.
1:45 PM – I respond to some blog comments, check my email, and respond to a bunch of emails I’m trying to catch up on from the last week or two.
2:15 PM – Start this blog post. Work, work, work.
3:00 PM – Take a snack break and scroll through Instagram.
3:20 PM – Create a workout for my TBC class tomorrow morning.
3:45 PM – Add some photos to this blog post and respond to a few more comments.
4:00 PM – Hunter wakes so I go up to get him, change his diaper, and bring him downstairs.
4:05 PM – He gets a snack, and I eat a snack with him.
4:15 PM – We go on a little walk and grab the mail on our way back.
4:45 PM – We go through the mail together. He loves going through all the junk mail and sorting it. Hey, whatever makes you happy kid.
5:00 PM – Hunter is a liiiiitle crazy and a bundle of energy, so we go outside and play in the grass for awhile.
5:30 PM – We come in so I can start dinner… Cue the whiny toddler who is attached to my leg. (It happens almost every evening when I want to start dinner.)
6:05 PM – The doorbell rings, and the cutest little Girlscout is wanting to sell me cookies. She doesn’t have to ask me twice!
6:15 PM – Cody gets home from work. We give kisses and hugs all around.
6:20 PM – We sit down for dinner. These burritos are on the menu for the evening.
6:45 PM – I clean up the kitchen while Cody takes Hunter upstairs to give me a break while he gets changed from work.
7:00 PM – We sit down to watch Master Chef while playing with Hunter.
7:45 PM – I take Hunter upstairs to get him ready for bed. We do the usual routine – change diaper, get in PJs, brush teeth, read books, prayers, snuggles.
8:05 PM – Finish up this post.
8:30 PM – Check out Facebook and read a few blogs.
9:00 PM – Cody leaves to play basketball, and I head upstairs to read.
9:30 PM – I’m wiped…lights out!
There ya have it … my Tuesday!
I’m off to teach RPM (I’m teaching release 65 for the first time!) and TBC this morning, followed by a quick trip to Target to grab a few things. Then it’s laundry, laundry, laundry.
We’re halfway to Friday! Make it a great day!
What do your Tuesdays usually look like?
Have you done RPM 65 yet? Thoughts?
